My brother took my son in his hands and brought him through the shots to me: Hovhannes and his uncle fought together

Hovhannes Ghambaryan, who died in the Second Artsakh War, was drafted into the army on 14 July, 2019. He served in Hadrut.

“He left the positions, and the war started the next day. On the second day of the war, my younger brother also went to see him, they were together,” Kristine Ghambaryan his mother says.”

Hovhannes and his uncle were in the same position when the enemy’s UAV hit. The mother says that there were 5 people in the position, her son and Otar Amaryan were killed and three people were injured.

“My brother lost himself, there was a difference of 5 years between them, they were like brothers. He brought my son in his arms. He went 100 meters through the shots until a car came to take my son,” the mother of the killed soldier said.

According to her, Hovhannes was not afraid of anything, he always went in front. The mother asked him to come back, he said what do you mean mom to come, mom, they are all boys like me, we are defending the homeland.

The last telephone conversation was on 31 October, he said to his mother, “Mom, don’t you know? It’s good for me everywhere.”

Hovhannes Ghambaryan was born on 18 July, 2000. He died on 31 October, 2020 in the battles for the defense of the homeland.
