Samvel Petrosyan was martyred on September 27, 2020, during the war unleashed by Azerbaijan. He was serving in Ijevan. His mother, Tamara Gabrielyan, tells Iravaban.net’s “For the Homeland” series that her son was a brave soldier.
“He was six months behind schedule, and we thought they wouldn’t take him. He had a spinal problem. On the last day, he went to pass the medical commissions, and called from the road saying, ‘Mom, they’re taking me.’ When the war started, he had three months left until the end of his service. When he came home for the last time, I took his clothes and kept them without washing. They still have his smell. He was martyred a week later,” she recounts.
