“Within business circles, there is a widespread perception that an advocate is only necessary when a specific legal issue begins; moreover, not even just a legal issue, but specifically a problem related to court proceedings,” said Vahe Astvatsatryan, founder-director of “Best Solutions” law office and advocate, in an interview with Iravaban.net.
According to the advocate’s observation, the roots of this mentality come from the Soviet years, when the Soviet Union propagated that they don’t need advocates, that citizens and economic operators would be protected independently.
“Because of this misconception, businesses often face enormous risks, because the accountant, in addition to performing their core functions, is forced to be guided by the whims of the business and ‘create papers’ for the business, trying to cover the necessary tax documentation field that they see is necessary.”
