The “Tashir+” Local Action Group was established in 2021 through a trilateral cooperation between community, civil society, and the business sector.
The LAG was created within the framework of the “Empowering Local Actors for Development in Lori and Tavush Regions” program funded by the EU. The initiative is based on the LEADER methodology.
LEADER is one of the EU’s approaches to rural development: locals work together, determine the direction of community development, and choose what kind of programs they should implement.
According to Executive Director Hayarpi Kirakosyan, it works closely with the community.
