In case of not paying the money intended for the scavenging in frames of the payment deadline defined in the law “About Scavenging and Sanitary Cleaning” people or those who count the payment will have to pay a penalty for each day by 0.15 per cent of the non-paid money in time, for the whole period after the deadline, but not more than for 180 days.

Penalties defined in the law “About Scavenging and Sanitary Cleaning” are counted and exacted since the first date of the following month after the payment of the scavenging fee.

The operator has the responsibility for not completing his or her obligations or not doing them in a proper way by the norms defined by law. He or she has to pay a penalty to the community budget for every undone or not properly done scavenging case by 50 thousand AMD, if a bigger penalty is not defined by the contract signed between the operator and the community.

The payment of the penalty does not free the operator from the non completed or not properly done responsibility. The head of the community or his/her trusted person (organ) implements the supervision over the completion of the responsibilities of the operator.

According to Parts 3 and 4 of Article 8 of the aforementioned law, people can be deprived of the permission of scavenging and transmission by the decision of the head of the community in case of violation of the requirements towards scavenging two or more times throughout a year.
