After the complete occupation of the Republic of Artsakh on 19 September, 2023, children with refugee status live in Armenia.
Article 30 of the RA Law “On the Rights of the Child” defines the right of a refugee child.
Thus, a refugee child deprived of living space and personal property as a result of military operations and other conflicts has the right to protect his interests.
The state and its relevant bodies take measures to search for the child’s parents or relatives, provide material, medical and other assistance, and if necessary, place him or her in preventive medical, boarding or other institutions.
