We live so that our children can live: volunteer Vahram Tumanyan died in hot battles

We shall tell about volunteer Vahram Tumanyan within the framework of “Immortal Victims of the Artsakh War” series of Iravaban.net.

Vahram served in 1998-2000. His mother, Marieta Tumanyan, says that her son was a servant for two months, and for good service, the chief of staff, Vazgen Sargsyan, allowed him to go home for a few days.

He was a first-class sniper during his service, always loved weapons, and often went hunting with his father since childhood.

Volunteer Vahram also participated in the April 2016 War. He called his mother and informed that he was already in position. “Well, who should go if not me?”

Vahram participated in the 2020 war on the same principle: “who, if not me?” “I was at work, that day he wanted some fruit, before I came home he called and said: dear Mummy, I’m going.” I said, “Dear boy, where are you going?” He said, “You know where I’m going.” He couldn’t wait for me to come home, he had visited all the neighbors, his sister, uncle’s family, he said goodbye to everyone, and he also called me to say goodbye.”

Mrs. Marieta says that she was never against her son participating in the defense of the motherland, on the contrary, she was proud, but she has many unanswered questions about her son’s death.

“He said twice: ‘Mom, you will see, I will die soon.’ I said, “Why do you say that?” He said, “I do not know, it seems to me.” Then he added: “Well, live lightly, live for this day,” his mother recalls.
