Sipan had a very active childhood, and then we realized that his energy is inexhaustible, we sent him to go in for sports and he devoted his remaining years to sports. His mother, Karine Mayranyan, tells about Sipan Soghomonyan, who was immortalized in the 44-day war of 2020, in the framework of “Immortal Victims of the Artsakh War” series of Iravaban.net.
“He studied at the Olympic State College. Multiple medal winner both in Armenia and outside of Armenia. He brought and kept the medals, he did not like to show them. When he came home from work, we would say: show, let us be happy, he would say: dear Mummy, the important thing is that I brought them, you do not need to see those. He would have been in great sports, but everything ended with the war,” his mother says.
According to the mother, her son was silent, but when he spoke, his words had value. He was able to show his parents the right direction.
“He thought a thousand times, spoke once. He could direct us so that we would understand that he was right. He had understanding like a grown up,” she says.
Sipan was also very friendly. The mother says that once he missed the chance to see them, because his friends did not have a chance to see their parents either.
On 27 September, 2020, friendship motivated Sipan to return to his position.
“He helped his wounded friend and brought him down from the positions, the other friend told him, not to gu up to the positions. Sipan’s reaction was, “No, what about the boys, and he rose to the position again,” his mother says.
Sipan Soghomonyan’s parents found strength in themselves and gave him a new life.
“We were not living, we needed a chance to live. Arianna has changed our lives. It seems she made us younger. Actually, I should have had a grandson by now, but I have become a mother again. When the dawn opens, we stand by the window and say hello to Sipan,” Mrs. Karine says.
