Alternative military service can be chosen by the citizen of the Republic of Armenia whose religious beliefs or convictions are contradicted by carrying, keeping, maintaining and using a weapon. Alternative working service can be chosen by the citizen of the Republic of Armenia whose religious beliefs and convictions are in general contradictory to passing a military service.
The RA citizen passing a compulsory military service can not renounce his service and chose the alternative service, and the citizen passing an alternative service can not renounce his service and opt for a compulsory military service.
