There are 11 out of 40 of us left: Narek Kartashyan called his father and said goodbye

Narek Kartashyan, who died in the Artsakh war, served in Martuni. He was an artilleryman.

The father, Tigran Kartashyan, says that 2 out of 4 cannons were damaged. Narek repaired them and fought.

“On 13 October, he called and said, ‘Goodbye, Pa, be brave,'” the father says.

Narek volunteered to go to war, secretly from family members. He departed on 5 October to Varanda region.

“They told me that on the 12 October they did not have shells, did not have weapons. The last call from my son was on 14 October, he said, “There are 11 out of 40 of us left,” the father says.

According to him, his son was injured in the leg, when they came to take him to the hospital, he did not go because he was the only gunner in the group.

Narek Kartashyan was born on 10 April, 1999. He died on 14 October, 2020 in the battles for the defense of the homeland.
