The court session on the case of RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s nephew Hayk Sargsyan was interrupted for an indefinite time. Hayk Sargsyan’s defender, Yerem Sargsyan, was not present at the session. The court asked the defendant whether he was aware of why his advocate was not present at the session, and received a negative reply.
It should be noted that Yerem Sargsyan was not present at the previous session as well.
Notably, Hayk Alexander Sargsyan has been charged with the fact that on 1 April, 2007 at 4:00 pm in the room on the basement floor of apartment 14 on Tumanyan 11, Yerevan, under unrevealed by the investigation circumstances, David A. Simonyan was shot in the abdomen with the intention of depriving David Simonyan of life from a pistol. But Aleksander Sargsyan did not end the crime under circumstances beyond his will.The SIG SAUER “P266” model pistol of 9 mm caliber, with imprinted number 7421361, was found as material evidence in this case.
