On the 20th of February, the court hearing on the case of Hayk Aleksander Sargsyan, the nephew of the 3rd President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, is being held at the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of First Instance. The hearing is presided over by Judge Anna Danibekyan.
Hayk Sargsyan refused to testify, as a result the prosecution read his testimony.
It should be reminded that according to the indictment, Hayk Sargsyan, on 1 April at around 4 pm in the room located on the ground floor of apartment 14 of building 11 in Tumanyan Street, Yerevan where he was registered, shot in Davit Simonyans abdomen from an illegally acquired and maintained pistol “SIGSAUER” with a purpose of intentional deprivation of life. However could not complete the crime due to circumstances beyond his will.
