Yerem Sargsyan, the lawyer of Aleksander Sargsyan’s son, Hayk Sargsyan, informs that the accusation side is well aware of the groundlessness and vulnerability of the accusation brought against Hayk Sargsyan, still from the stage of preliminary investigation, and thus does not clarify which part of the victim’s body is the “abdomen” which is indicated in the accusation, as according to experts, the shoot was made to the back side of the chest.

Yerem Sargsyan explains: “According to the description of the charge brought against Hayk Sargsyan, he had shot with a pistol in the direction of the victim’s abdomen.

According to the victim’s testimony, Hayk Sargsyan was standing in front of him, fired at his belly form a distance of about 1.5 meters, and as a result right side of his abdomen was wounded.

That is, according to the accusation side,

1. The shot was done from the front.
2. The shot was done from a distance of about 1.5 meters.
3. The shot was done in the direction of the victim’s abdomen (belly).
4. As a result of the shot the victim’s abdomen was wounded: according to the victim the right side of the abdomen.

All these important facts of the accusation have been denied by experts’ conclusions.

In particular,

According to the forensic medical and forensic ballistic expertise conclusion, at the time of the shot, the victim was standing with the back of the left half of the chest to the weapon from which he was shot.

According to the judgment of the forensic ballistic and forensic chemical expertise, the incoming hole from the bullet is on the left side of the back of the victim’s sweater and the exit hole in the front right side. At the same time, the shot was made from a distance of about 10-30 centimeters.

This means that according to the experts:

1. The shot was done from the back.
2. The shot was done from a distance of about 10-30 centimeters.
3. The shot was done in the direction of the back side of the victim’s chest.
4. The incoming hole from the bullet is in the left side of the back of the victim’s chest and not in the right front part of the abdomen.

Hayk Sargsyan asked the prosecutor and the court to clarify which part of the body of the victim is the abdomen mentioned in the accusation, as it is clear to him that the abdomen is the part below  the chest as the court has explained, but since the experts mentioned that the injury was caused from the back side of the chest, so there is a question whether the prosecution also acknowledged that the abdomen is the part below the chest and if “yes”, how they described shot made in the direction of the left side of the back of the chest as an abdominal shot,” said the lawyer.
