“In 2018, he said that he had written an application, he should move from Noyemberyan to Artsakh and continue his service. He left for Hadru,” Marine Khachatryan, the mother of senior lieutenant Andranik Khachatryan, who died in the Artsakh war said.
On 27 September, 2020, when the war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh started, Andranik’s brother Arsen voluntarily went to his brother․ “He was very happy to see me, but there was nothing he could do, he did not want me to be there. It was a surprise for him that at that difficult moment his brother appeared next to him.”
According to his brother, they fought in Hadrut, then they were in Jrakan and Shushi. Andranik was wounded in Shushi, and died in an ambulance, which was targeted by the enemy.
Andranik Khachatryan was born on 19 March, 1993. He died in the battles for the defense of the homeland on 7 November, 2020 on the Shushi-Stepanakert road.
