Two citizens applied to Aparan Advocacy and AssistanceReceptionCenter of the RA Aragatsotn Marz AAC. They were very angry. A subdivision of the “Armenian Water and Sewerage” CJSC imposed a fine over them while they had not lived in the corresponding address for a certain period of time and did not sign a contract with the Company. The Company imposed fines of 195.442 and 16.900 AMD over the citizens respectively.
The corruption risk in this case was that the official had imposed ungrounded and illegal fine over the citizen, based on the fake documents, with the aim to gain profit.
The lawyer of Aparan AARC visited the corresponding subdivision of the “Armenian Water and Sewerage” CJSC and discussed the issue and the details of imposing the fine directly with the management.
In result of involvement of Aparan AARC it was proved that in both cases the decisions to impose fine were baseless and illegal, as they were made based on the fake documents.
After interference of Aparan Advocacy and AssistanceReceptionCenter of the RA Aragatsotn Marz AAC the citizens were relieved from ungrounded property accountability.
