On 7 January, two gunmen attacked French “Charlie Hebdo” magazine office. French media reported that 12 people of which two policemen died as a result of the shooting. The attackers shot the staff of the magazine from Kalashnikov submachine gun. During the attack the terrorists were shouting that the reprisal was for Prophet Muhammad
Several media already disseminated information that terrorists are known. Media attribute this action to “Al Qaeda” terrorist group.
Daily Mail reported that more than 100 thousand people came out to the streets to pray for the victims: Ria.ru informs that French President Francois Hollande declared three days of mourning.
Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine appeared in the scandal in 2006, when it published the caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed, similar publications were made in 2012 as well.
