Iran closes land border with other neighboring countries because of “Omicron” Strain

“TASS” News Agency reports that the Iranian authorities are closing the land border with neighboring countries for 15 days to prevent the spread of the “Omicron” strain of the coronavirus. This was announced today, 25 December, by the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration [IRICA] Seyed Ruhollah Latifi.
The official said that it refers to Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Armenia.
“As for Turkmenistan, there has been no cross-border flow with that country since the beginning of the coronavirus,” he added.
