Kocharyan and Pashinyan plan to hold rallies in the days following the elections

Extraordinary parliamentary elections in Armenia will take place on June 20.

Iravaban.net learns from the Yerevan Municipality that several rallies are expected in the capital on the next day after the elections, on 21 June.

Thus:

On June 4, RA citizens Armen Khojoyan and Vahagn Hovakimyan (deputy of the “My Step” faction of the National Assembly) presented a notification on holding a rally on June 21 from 10:00 to 22:00 in the Republic Square.

According to Hovakimyan, the gathering will be held and the public summary of the results of the special elections to the National Assembly is expected. It is mentioned that 200,000 people will take part in the rally, posters and loudspeakers will be used, it is planned to have 100 bailiffs.

On the same day, Armen Khojoyan and Vahagn Hovakimyan again informed that they are planning a meeting on June 22, from 10:00 to 22:00, in the Republic Square, with the participation of another 200,000 people.

The same notification was also presented on holding a meeting on June 23, June 24 from 10:00 to 22:00.

Armen Khojoyan and Vahagn Hovakimyan also submitted a notification for holding a rally under the same conditions for holding a rally in Freedom Square on June 21-24.

By the decision of the authorized representative of the Mayor of Yerevan dated 09.06.2021, only the gatherings to be held in the Republic Square were taken into account.

On June 4, RA citizen Aram Vardevanyan (official representative of the central headquarters of the “Armenia” Bloc of the 2nd President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan) presented a notification: on June 20, 21, 22 and 23 at 00.00-23.00, gatherings in Freedom Square and holding marches along the route of Freedom Square-Mashtots Avenue-Koryun Street-Nalbandyan Street-Republic Square-Amiryan Street-Mashtots Avenue-Freedom Square.

It is mentioned that about 25,000 people are expected to participate.

Authorized Representative of the Mayor of Yerevan imposed a restriction on the venue of gatherings planned for June 20, 21, 22 and 23 from 00.00 to 23.00 in Freedom Square, presented on 09.06.2021  by Aram Vardevanyan, a citizen of the Republic of Armenia,  proposing to hold the gatherings in the square near the statue of David of Sassoun, on the days and hours mentioned in the notification.
