Commander, who is a Turk to crawl in front of him? Zaven did everything for the Motherland

“I do not know if it was God’s providence or another reason, but from the first day Zaven was different. He has filled the essence of all of us, it is very difficult without Zaven,” Karine Yesayan, the aunt of Zaven Yesayan, who died in the Second Artsakh War says.

The mother, Gayane Hakobyan, says that the boy was a leader in all matters, even in household chores.

“On 22 January, he went to the army. He was in a hurry, I do not know, I do not know why he was in a hurry. The service was going very well, he was provided the rank of sergeant. When he called late, I would say, “Zaven, I am afraid when you do not call,” and he would say, “Mom, I do not want to hear that word to be afraid from you. You have a son like me. What are you afraid of? How can a person be afraid of a Turk?” The last time we talked, he was in a very good mood, he said, “Mom, I made coffee, let’s have a drink together. Friends came and said that Zaven did everything to make us feel good, he did everything for the homeland,” the mother says.

According to his aunt, when the commander told Zaven to crawl together to bring food, he replied: “Commander, who is a Turk to crawl in front of him?”

Zaven Yesayan was born on 21 July, 2001. He died on 25 October, 2020 in the battles for the defense of the homeland.
