Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that Russia, along with Turkey, Armenia and Iran, will be able to use the new Nakhichevan transport corridor.
RIA Novosti reported.
He stated that work is already being done in that direction, which will create new opportunities for the region.
In early December, Aliyev announced that he had proposed the creation of a corridor connecting Nakhichevan with the western part of Azerbaijan. According to him, Russia and Turkey have responded positively to the idea.
“Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Armenia and Iran will use that way. This road will be of special importance for multilateral cooperation,” Aliyev said at a video conference on the results of 2020.
