As we have already informed, the trial of Robert Kocharyan, the second President of the RA, former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov and former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan, which is being held today at the Shengavit residence of the Court of General Jurisdiction Yerevan is going on.

A dispute arose between prosecutor Karen Bisharyan and Yuri Khachaturov’s lawyer Mihran Poghosyan. The court hearing was interrupted.

After the resumption, Judge Anna Danibekyan brought disciplinary action against both parties, noting that a judicial sanction could be applied at a hearing, in the event of a violation of judicial order, or disrespectful attitude towards the court.

Mihran Poghosyan and Yerevan Prosecutor Gevorg Baghdasaryan were reprimanded.

The judge also noted that appropriate letters would be sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the President of the Chamber of Advocates.
