As we reported earlier, on 7 October, at the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan City Court of First Instance, presided by Judge Anna Danibekyan, the investigation of the court case of the RA Second President Robert Kocharyan, former Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, former CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov and former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan’s was going on. During the hearing Robert Kocharyan’s lawyer Hayk Alumyan filed a motion for withdrawal of the judge Anna Danibekyan.

The judge rejected the motion.

It should be noted that the Defendant finds that there are a number of circumstances that exclude A. Danibekyan’s participation as a judge in the case. According to Alumyan, there were two grounds for withdrawal to consider this case. Danibekyan cannot be considered a proper court and she has a biased negative attitude towards Robert Kocharyan.
