As we have already informed, the 21 January hearing on the March 1 case was postponed because the lawyers were not present at the hearing.

Presiding Judge Anna Danibekyan stated at the hearing that the defendants said that on 9 January, the defense had threatened the victim’s successor, the defense said the court did not respond properly to the incident and found that their rights had been denied and the opportunity to fully fulfill their duties and reported that they would therefore not be present at the hearing.

Robert Kocharyan’s defenders Aram Orbelyan, Hayk Alumyan, Hovhannes Khudoyan, Aram Vardevanyan and Ruben Sahakyan, Armen Gevorgyan’s defense lawyer Eric Alexanyan were not present at the hearing, arguing that they were deprived of the opportunity to fulfill their rights and responsibilities. Today, on 4 February, the court is examining the issue of imposing a sanction on the aforementioned lawyers and the lawyers are giving an explanation.
