Today, the official opening ceremony of the Court Sessions Hall of the School of Advocates took place. The Court Sessions Hall will enable the future advocates to take part in court moots and to gain experience of the participation in real judicial processes.
Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan, Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan, the President of the School of Advocates Simon Babayan and other people attended the event.
The students of the School of Advocates study practical subjects related to the legal affairs during the teaching. Currently 96 attendees are undergoing theoretical training, and 52 attendees are undergoing the phase of practical training (trial period).
The RA School of Advocates is a non-profit organization with the status of a foundation, and was founded by the RA Chamber of Advocates.
The RA School of Advocates organizes and holds the professional education and training of the attendees of the School of Advocates, as well as it implements other activities submitted by the Charter of School of Advocates.
A Courtroom was needed for the teaching of the advocate program. The furnishing of the courtroom was done by the funding of the Armenian philanthropist from France Raymond Yezeguelyan.
After the opening ceremony a moot court was organized.
