He loved weapons, he loved nature, and he loved animals. Gohar Sekhposyan, the mother of Tigran Avagyan, who died in the 44-day Artsakh war, tells about her son.
‘At the age of 16, he complained that boys were taken to the army from the age of 18. He said: let them take me from the age of 16, I am sitting here, what am I doing? Motherland was everything to him,” Mrs. Gohar said.
In 2010, during the service, Tigran received a gunshot wound in the head. Thanks to a long and persistent struggle, his life was saved.
He left for service in 2009. He served in the NSS border guard troops in Horadis.
Tigran Avagyan went to the battlefield on 29 September, 2020, as part of the “Great Tigran” military regiment.
The commander of the regiment, Hovsep Ghazaryan, says that on 3 October there were fierce battles.
“After 3 October, all the guys who stayed in “Yeghnikner” were amazing fighters. That day was like a test, and Tigran stayed,” Hovsep Ghazaryan says.
Tigran Avagyan was born on 12 February, 1991. He was killed in the battles for the homeland on 19 October, 2020.
