Know, mom, wherever I am, I will always be fine: Tigran and his friends went to the battlefield with a song

“He told me, When I return from the army, I shall furealize my dreams and goals,'” Hapet Shashikyan, the father of Tigran Shashikyan, who died in the Artsakh war said.

Tigran was drafted into the army on 9 January, 2019, served in the Lusakert military unit, then moved to Vayk as a Junior Sergeant, where he received the rank of Sergeant.

His cousin Vladimir Khotsanyan said that Tigran was both a friend, and a brother to him. “Even when he was in the army, he still thought about me, he found time for everyone, he thought about everyone,” he said.

A fellow soldier, Levon Piloyan, siad that on 14 October they were taken from Yeghegnadzor to Artsakh to take part in hostilities. “We were waiting for the day when we would be told that we were going too, we did not know where we were going, but we were all ready as one person and we left,” he said.

During the last conversation with his mother, Tigran said, “Know, mom, wherever I am, I will always be fine.” Talking to a friend, he said that the situation on the battlefield is not good, but he is well.

Tigran Shashikyan was born on 15 December, 2000. He died on 15 October, 2020 in the battles for the defense of the homeland.
