The demonstrations against electricity price raise are continuing at Baghramyan Avenue. The scarce amount of people at the avenue is explained that a lot of people are working at this time and they join them only in the evening.
The people living in nearby buildings are at Baghramyan Avenue at the moment. One of the inhabitants mentioned in the interview with Iravaban.net in his opinion, people are disappointed and the breath of fight was broken down:
“We see that the authority will not change their positions even with blood. They have neither patriotism, nor Armenophilism.”
He also welcomes the young men’s fight and mentions that he hosted the protestors many times, and even gave them water and food. “The kiosk from which the protestors were buying water is closed. They could ask for water from the Writer’s Union, which is also not allowed now. The pharmacy is also closed, and if they had a headache they could not take medicine” said the citizen.
As for to the police requirement that the noise is disturbing the people living in neighboring buildings and the protestors must immediately leave Baghramyan Avenue, the citizen replied that the silence is disturbed by the police.
“Last night at 1 o’clock 3 policemen came to our house and asked to enter the house because it was not proper to speak at the entrance. In reply to the question whether the noise of the protestors is disturbing, I answered that they (the police) disturb us more. Do the police have the right to disturb citizens at 1 o’clock?”
He also mentioned that the policemen visited the residents of the house asking them whether they will right complaints saying that the protestors are violating the rules of coexistence.
“We all refused to write complaints against them․ Why should we complaint against our children? I have written an application to the Human Rights Defender against the policemen for disturbing me” said the inhabitant of the next building who preferred to remain unknown.
