Armenia and Russia remain brotherly countries, despite the difficulties in relations, TASS reports, quoting the words of Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
In his opinion, Armenia is “even more than a brotherly country” for the Russian Federation, despite the fact that the two countries are currently experiencing “a rather difficult period of relations”.
Dmitry Peskov also noted that “the economic activity of Armenians who are citizens of the Russian Federation still constitutes a very large percentage of the total budget of Armenia”, several billion dollars annually.
“We hope that there will be a political will to continue the development of our relations in Yerevan, and we will successfully pass this difficult period,” Peskov said.
