Azerbaijan’s actions to install a checkpoint in the Lachin corridor contradict the EU’s call to reduce tensions in the region. The Head of EU Diplomacy, Josep Borrell, stated at the press conference held after the EU Council meeting.

He added that the EU is ready to support Armenia and Azerbaijan in settling the situation in the region.
