Ruben Vardazaryan (powers suspended) Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council,  during a press conference today, publicized the recording of his conversation with Gagik Jhangiryan, Acting Chairman of the Council, and Stepan Mikayelyan, a member of the Council on 20 February, 2021.

He mentioned that publishing it was one of the most difficult decisions he made in his life, as he has not published it yet, because he expected the Council to act reasonably, it will not take extreme steps. “The cynicism during the council session allows me to publish the recording today. The recording was made at my request, I knew very well that I was going to a meeting; I asked to record my Jhangiryan’s conversation.”

He mentioned that the recording device is not in Armenia and warned that swearing is heard in the recording. In the recording, Jhangiryan says that he does not want someone like Robert Kocharyan to come back․ “We have hardly escaped from that clan and if I know that Vanetsyan and Arthur Ghazinyan will come, I will stand by them.” But I know that the ARF Dashnaktsutyun will come and that Robert Kocharyan (here “Jhangiryan is cursing – editorial.”). Serzh will not come either. Dod (Gagik Tsarukyan – editorial ․) will bring Robert Kocharyan. “

Vardazaryan mentioned that the recording takes about 2 hours in total; he published its 14 minutes.
