On 17 December, 2021, the Anti-Corruption Committee signed a contract with “Magas Invest” CJSC, by which it purchased a car for the Committee.

The contract was signed through one-person government purchases, i.e .without a tender.

The purchase amounted to 15 million drams.

According to the technical characteristics of the car ․

• Car color: white,
• Body type: passenger car, 8 seats,
• Engine capacity: maximum 2․5 liters,
• Fuel type: diesel,
• Fuel tank capacity: maximum 75 liters,
• Fuel consumption (mixed cycle) up to a maximum of 9 liters,
• Engine power: up to 170 hp,
• Gearbox: 5-9 degrees, automatic
• The mileage of the car at the time of purchase should not exceed 1000 kilometers.

According to the contract, the supplier must provide warranty and post-warranty service for 60 months / 100,000 km.

During service, the engine oil must be replaced with factory oil for that vehicle.

According to the contract, the engine oil must be replaced with the factory oil for this car during maintenance.

The supplier must have: auto parts / chassis, body parts / warehouse or shop, all workshops needed for repair (chassis, electricity, lubrication, tire adjustment, vulcanization, injector repair, steering wheel, engine, gearbox, rear axles’ repair, car diagnostics and other necessary equipment and services, as well as other such as welding and body painting).

Iravaban.net reports that Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, is a shareholder of both “Multi Group” and “Magas Invest” CJSC. 

In 2021, Gagik Tsarukyan submitted a declaration upon termination of the post of a deputy of the National Assembly, where it was mentioned that the companies had been handed over to trust management to Sedrak Arustamyan․ The contract was signed on 20 May, 2017, and the end is mentioned on 20 May, 2022.

The official website of the “Multi Group” company states that “Magas Invest” CJSC, which has been operating since January 2006, is the official representative of “Hyundai Motors” Company in Armenia. The Company sells Hyundai cars, original spare parts and accessories of the car, as well as car provides warranty and post-warranty service.

The Company presents the following Hyundai model series in Armenia: Elantra, Genesis, i 10, i 20, Santa Fe, Tucson, Veloster, Sonata, H 1, Azera.

Regarding the purchase of the car, in response to a written inquiry of Iravaban.net about the make of the car, the Anti-Corruption Committee answered that it is not expedient to disclose its make, as the car has a special significance. “Soon 9 cars will be purchased as well” the Anti-Corruption Committee informed.
