The U.S. Court of Appeals has temporarily blocked President Biden’s order which requires workers at private companies with more than 100 employees to get fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or be tested weekly.
BBC reported.
The court found “grave statutory and constitutional” issues with the rule, which was scheduled to take effect in January.
Five US states – Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Utah – as well as private companies and religious groups have challenged Biden’s mandate.
They accused the president of exceeding his authority.
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry tweeted that the court’s decision was a “major win for the liberty of job creators and their employees.”
