“When he was leaving to the army, he told me not to try to cry, everything would be fine, and he left,” Gayane Arzumanyan, the mother of Hakob Yeghiazaryan, who died in the Second Artsakh War said.
Hakob was drafted into the army on 16 January, 2019. Served in Stepanakert.
“He had many goals, he always called and made plans related to what he should do and what he should achieve when he would come. He used to say, “Mom, I think about it a lot, as long as I am free I make plans, I will not have time when I come,” the hero’s mother says.
According to her, her son did not say that he fought in hot spots, he always said that they were in shelter. Hakob fought in Varanda, Hadrut and Karin Tak regions. He was surrounded several times and came out.
“One of the commanders said that Hakob and his friends fought very well, they destroyed a lot of equipment. He was a good soldier, both during the war and during his service,” Ms. Arzumanyan says.
Hakob Yeghiazaryan was born on 4 August, 2000. He was killed in the battles for the defense of the homeland on 7 November, 2020 near Shushi.
