“The difference between us was three years. He really was an elder brother, he helped and advised in everything: a friend, a brother, we were everything together. He used to say, ‘Help Daddy, Mommy, two years from now, I will come, we will work together, I will not leave you alone” Gevorg Movsisyan tells about his elder brother Sasun.

Sasun Movsisyan was drafted to army on 19 January, 2020.

“We did not have secrets from each other, we were always close to each other, wherever I went, whatever I did, he knew and I knew what he did, we did not keep secrets from each other, like friends,” Sevak Movsissyan, Sasun’s father said.

As soon as he heard the news about the beginning of the second Artsakh war, on 27 September, Sevak went to Artsakh to visit his son.

“When I went there, I felt that the guys were happy that I was by their side. He and the other guys were in a very good mood. They did not think even for a second that they could lose or retreat. They did not think about such things. He was sick, he had pneumonia, he had a fever, I said at night, when it was possible, I would take him to the hospital, he was upset, he said, I am standing, will I be allowed to go to the hospital?” the father remembered.

Sasun was killed on 4 October, along with 3 comrades in arm: Zhirayr, Aram and Hayk. “They knew that if there was anything, I would go the first, but I could not keep them what could I do, it turned out like this… There is so much to tell about him,” he says

Sasun Movsisyan was born on 31 October, 2001, and died on 4 October in the battles for the defense of the homeland.
