“Alberts had undergone two eye surgeries. He was very worried that he might not be drafted into the army because of that. He considered serving in the army to be the most important priority for the boy,” the father says.

Albert Bakhshyan was drafted into the army on 23 December, 2019, served in Mataghis, then moved to a place called Kaytsakner (Lightening) in Talish.

“He went to the service with great pleasure; he dreamed of serving as a child, he constantly said that he should go to serve in the army. He said, “I will serve in Yeghnikner, there will be a fight and I will die. It turned out as he said,” his brother, Sergey Bakhshyan says.

Albert was seriously wonded on 21 October and fought for his life for 18 days. “The mine fell just on him, he lost consciousness. When he came to himself he said, ‘Guys, I died, I came back from the other world.,’ and on the way to the hospital, to Stepanakert, he kept asking the guys accompanying him if something had happened to someone,” the father said

Albert Bakhshyan was born on 20 August, 2001, and died on 8 November, 2020.
