“Azniv was a very brave boy, he liked to compete with the strong ones. Azniv found time for both sports and education,” Azniv Aghamalyan’s, the coach said. Aznive died in the Artsakh war.
Azniv enlisted in the army on 28 December, 2019, served in Mataghis. He was from the village of Shinuhair in the Syunik region and was endowed with a brave spirit typical of Syunik, he said, “I will never run away, it is a war, the war must end.”
On 5 February, Azniv Aghamalyan was posthumously awarded the Medal for the Defense of the Homeland.
The last time he talked to his uncle, he said that they had retreated.
Azniv Aghamalyan was born on 13 August, 2001 and died on 13 October, 2020.
