Sos Porkashyan, who died in the Artsakh war, would have turned 20 years old on 3 February. He was drafted into the army on 24 July, 2019 and served in Mataghis. Sos was the head of the position, according to his parents, he was able to take several positions with his 5 comrades-in-arms, they fought with the enemy for a day and a half.
“There are so many Turks killed, their weapons are on me, I am fighting against them,” Sos said in a telephone conversation with his parents.
On 9 October, an enemy drone crashed into a trench, injuring five boys, and Sos was killed. “He did not only love the homeland, he loved everything, he loved everyone, life was very interesting for him,” Sos Porkashyan’s father, Ararat Porkashyan says.
“He always solved any problem he was facing, and he did it very well, both in civilian life and later in the service,” the father said.
