Conscript Arsen Aljikyan, who died in the Artsakh war, was drafted into the army on 19 December, 2019.
“My son did not listen to my request, I told him to return for sure. The cost of my son’s heroism was really expensive,” Arsen’s mother, Lusine Galstyan said.
Arsen Aljikyan hit 6 tanks in Chartar positions. The mother says that Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan had learnt about the incident and wanted to reward Arsen, but Arsen refused to leave the position, saying it was not the time.
According to Arsen’s mother, the boys did not have a trench because of the commander, if they had a trench they would not have died, they would have had a place to hide.
Arsen Aljikyan was born on 16 December, 2001, and died on 3 November, 2020.
