“It would be a lie to say that I had a very good idea of what war is and what awaits me in general,” Ani Minasyan, who resigned as director of Artsakh Public Radio a few days ago said.
No, the war was not the reason why Ani ended her duties as a director, it was initially decided that she would run the radio until 31 December for 6 months. “Almost no one knew I was going there, I did not say it, even my family did not know it. I went there, was appointed, and then called to say that I would not return until the end of the year, they thought I had gone on a business trip for a week” Ani says.
At the restaurant of Hovik and Isabel, who fed all the citizens of Artsakh who needed it during the war, Ani washed the dishes, helped to cook, and broadcast radio from the “basement”, but the radio was not silent for 44 days.
Ani Minasyan tells about the war days, the life in the shelter and what happened around.
