Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that a military solution to the conflict in Karabakh became inevitable, since the UN Security Council resolutions “remained on paper.” RIA Novosti reported.
“We observed the political situation in the world and saw how international law did not work. Strength became the main factor. International law, UN Security Council resolutions remained on paper. A military solution to the conflict became inevitable,” Aliyev said.
According to the President of Azerbaijan, the mediators on Karabakh have repeatedly stated that “the conflict has no military solution”, but a diplomatic solution has not been found.
