Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that the cessation of bloodshed in Nagorno Karabakh is the main result of the statement signed by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on 9 November, RIA Novosti reported .
“The most important thing that has been done is to stop the bloodshed,” he said.
He noted that according to official data, more than 4,000 people from both sides were killed during the fighting in Karabakh.
“More than 4,000 people have died, according to official figures alone, I actually think more. Therefore, the cessation of bloodshed is the main result,” Putin said on Russia 24 TV channel, referring to the statement on Karabakh.
Putin said that he did not understand why Pashinyan refused the condition of the return of peaceful refugees to Shushi.
