According to the United Nations Official Holidays Calendar, March 21 is full of different events. Today is International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination; the World Poetry Day; World Down Syndrome Day; International Day of Forests and the Tree, as well as International Day of Nowruz.
Speaking about the World Poetry Day it is due to mention that in compliance with the decision of UNESCO “the main objective of this action is to support linguistic diversity through poetic expression and to offer endangered languages the opportunity to be heard within their communities.”
