The pensions assigned after 1 January, 2021 will be paid exclusively non-cash through the bank. The law on this was adopted by the National Assembly during the summer session. The transition to an exclusively non-cash pension payment system will be carried out in stages.

Non-cash pension payments will start on 1 July, 2022 in villages with more than 1,000 inhabitants, and on 1 July, 2023 in villages with up to 1,000 inhabitants.

Until 1 January, 2021, in case of pensions paid in cash, i.e. in case of pensions paid through “Haypost”, the citizen will be given the opportunity to choose the bank through which the further payment of the pension will be made. The pensioner will be given 6 months.

However, there are exceptions to the law.
