Today, the RA Ministry of justice and the US Agency for International development (USAID) signed an agreement on Improving Legislation and Supporting Creation of Legal Research Center.
Arpine Hovhannisyan, the Acting Minister of Justice of the RA, Richard Mills, the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Armenia and Deborah Grieser, USAID/Armenia as Mission Director signed the Agreement
Ambassador Mills expressed his gratitude to Arpine Hovhannisyan for the Idea of establishment of such center in Armenia, and at the same time thanked Deborah Grieser for the support in realization of this idea.
The RA Minister of Justice in her turn expressed gratitude to the Ambassador as well as to the present and former Directors of USAID Mission in Armenia, for their trust and readiness to realize this idea.
In the scope of the agreement the funds should be directed to ensuring consolidation of the professional staff, institutionalization of effective mechanisms for between the stakeholders and facilitation of preliminary regulations of the Center from the aspect of ensuring long term sustainability.
