Today, the Parliament elected the new Ombudsman. There was only one candidate, Arman Tatoyan, the former Deputy Minister of Justice. His candidature was submitted to the plenary session of the RA NA by the Republican Party of Armenia.
Today the closed secret ballot was held. The deputies had to vote for or against the only candidate.
96 deputies voted for and 7 against the candidate. 4 ballots were declared invalid.
