The RA Government Decision N 257-N of 6 March 2014 establishes the amount of the birth allowance as follows:
1) The size of the lump-sum for the birth of a child according to the sequence of each newly born child: a) fifty thousand AMD for the Birth of the first child; b) fifty thousand AMD for the birth of the second child; c) one million AMD for the birth of the third child; d) one million AMD for the birth of the fourth child; e) one million AMD for the birth of the fourth child; e) one million five hundred thousand AMD for the birth of the fifth and each subsequent child.
2) In case of the birth of twins or more, the lump-sum for the birth of each child shall be in the highest amount for the sequence of the newly born child.
3) The amount of the lump-sum debited on the account of the state support for the third and the each subsequent child: a) five hundred thousand AMD for the birth of the third child; b) five hundred thousand AMD for the birth of the fourth child; c) one million AMD for the birth of the fifth and each subsequent child.
The State Social Security Service of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs appoints and pays the lump-sum of the birth allowance through its territorial subdivision for the children born after 1 January 2014. The lump-sum of the birth allowance for the children born before 1 January 2014 is allocated and paid by the territorial body providing social services.
