Charles III appointed Rishi Sunak as Prime Minister of Great Britain

Rishi Sunak is now the 57th Prime Minister of Great Britain after being invited by King Charles to form a Government. The BBC reported.

Earlier, the King accepted the resignation of Liz Truss.

Let’s remind that on 5 July, 2022, he resigned from the position of Minister of Finance, stating: “It was a great honor to play this role, but I regret that I can no longer continue it with a clear conscience.”

On 20 October, Liz Truss resigned as Prime Minister. In this regard, the election of the new head of the Conservative Party, respectively the Prime Minister, will take place at the end of October. Rishi Sunak is once again seen as the favorite in the race with a 50% chance of becoming party leader and prime minister.

Sunak becomes the youngest Prime Minister of Britain in the last 210 years.
