Navalny was found guilty of all counts

A Lefortovo court in Moscow has found opposition leader Alexei Navalny guilty of contempt of court, an Interfax correspondent reported.

“Navalny has shown disrespect to the court,” Judge Margarita Kotova said in a ruling issued on Tuesday.

In addition to disrespect for justice (Article 297 Parts 1 and 2 of the RF Criminal Code), Navalny was reportedly found guilty of four counts of particularly large-scale fraud (Article 159 Part 4 of the Criminal Code).

Thus, the oppositionist was found guilty on all counts of his accusation, which was considered by the court.

Navalny’s verdict is announced at an off-site court hearing in correctional colony N2 in the city of Pokrov, Vladimir Region..

The state prosecution asked the court to sentence him to 13 years in a strict regime colony with restriction of freedom for two years and a fine of 1.2 million rubles.
