Georgia has sent 100 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Aliq.ge reports that Georgia has transferred 100 tons of humanitarian cargo to Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili stated this today, 28 February, at a Government session.

According to him, the humanitarian cargo has already arrived in Ukraine.

“By my decision, 100 tons of humanitarian cargo arrived in Poland this morning, which will be delivered to the Ukrainian side from there. Of course, this humanitarian cargo is help to our Ukrainian brothers and sisters. Besides, all services are also provided free of charge in Tbilisi to the citizens of Ukraine who are in Tbilisi and could not return to their homeland,” Garibashvili said.

The Prime Minister noted that Georgia expresses its support to Ukraine on all international platforms.

“We have expressed strong support and solidarity with Ukraine at all levels, at all international formats, including the OSCE Ministerial Council and the UN,” Garibashvili said.

It should be reminded that the Georgian government has allocated 1 million GEL for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
