Russia is ready to negotiate with Ukraine: Peskov

Russia is ready to send a delegation to Minsk for talks with Ukraine, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, RIA Novosti reported.

“Putin is ready to send a Russian delegation at the level of representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the President’s Office for talks with the Ukrainian delegation.

Zelensky announced his readiness to discuss Ukraine’s neutral status. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the purpose of the operation was to help Donetsk and Lugansk, including through the demilitarization and denationalization of Ukraine. “And this, in fact, is an inseparable component of a neutral status,” he explained.

Peskov noted that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has assured Putin that he will be ready to create all conditions for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine for the security of the negotiators.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to sit at the negotiating table.

“I want to address the President of the Russian Federation once again, there are battles in Ukraine, let’s sit at the negotiating table, stop the death of people,” he said in Russian.
